Neighborhood: Myers Park Moving cinematic works at the historic Manor Theater Wrap up the day catching a flick at the Regal Manor Twin Theater, or as it's simply and affectionately known in Charlotte, the Manor. As the city's oldest operating theater, this historic movie house opened in 1947 and was considered one of the prettiest theaters in Charlotte. Its marquee is one of the most recognizable in the city. Operating only two screens allows the theater to maintain an intimate, cozy and retro atmosphere. Catch modern-day blockbusters and indie flicks alike while enjoying fresh popcorn and candy— sometimes even mixed together. And if you're feeling really brave, punch your ticket for a late- night flick in auditorium one. Legend has it that the theater is haunted.
