WITH A LITTLE BIT OF IMAGINATION AND A LOT OF ADVENTURE, EMBARK ON THIS
PERFECT FAMILY-FRIENDLY PLAY DATE.
Huzzah! Your day of nonstop family adventure begins with
the lively sights and sounds of a 16th-century jousting battle.
Clashing armor, enthusiastic chants and rumbling hooves set
the tone for the first of three daily tournaments inside the
King's Tournament Arena. Cheer alongside the Royal Court and
wave your banners in support of brave knights on horseback
battling for their majesties' honor.
Built into the woodlands of North Carolina, the Carolina
Renaissance Festival brings storybook scenes to life. Turkey
leg in hand, explore the 25-acre marketplace dotted with
open-air shops, bidding good morrow to blacksmiths, candle
makers and glass blowers along the way. Princes and
princesses in training will be enchanted as they view artisans'
handiwork up close, demonstrating techniques passed down
over generations.
Celebrate the festival as a family would have centuries ago
with entertainment from medieval musicians, storytellers,
acrobats and magicians. Revel in the pageantry of
Renaissance Vaudeville and their hoop-jumping sidekick
Snorkel the Pig or indulge in the sport of kings at the Ancient
