Take a walk in the park Strolling Park Road Park is the perfect way to enjoy the arrival of autumn's crisp weather and gorgeous foliage. Located just outside of the South Park neighborhood, family-friendly Park Road Park boasts beautiful walking trails, a tranquil pond with a pier, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, and four picnic shelters all spread across more than 70 acres. Also located within Park Road Park is a memorial playground dedicated to the town of Newtown, Connecticut. It serves as a tribute to the teachers and children who perished in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. This month, the playground celebrates the two-year anniversary of its ribbon-cutting ceremony. Neighborhood: South Park Satisfy your cravings for haute couture Take your style to new heights at Capitol in South Park. This high-end, high-fashion women's boutique carries world-renowned labels like Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen. While the cutting edge designers and pieces stocked, like couture gowns and fine jewelry, are impressive and rare, the shop's interior is equally as progressive and unique. As you shop finds specially and globally selected by owner Laura Vinroot Poole, peruse the stunning vegetal wall that climbs one of the first level walls from floor to ceiling. It was designed by famous French botanist Patrick Blanc. Capitol has taken the spotlight for its swoon-worthy inventory in InStyle, Southern Living, Town & Country and beyond.
