Revisit vintage rides and vibes at Carowinds
A magnet for family fun since it opened in the spring of 1973, Carowinds added even more to love
as the season reopened in March. Honoring sentimental memories, the amusement park's latest
attraction, the County Fair, pays homage to bygone nights spent under bright lights and Carolina
skies while waiting in line for the Tilt-A-Whirl. Four new thrill-packed rides, including the Zephyr
(a rotating swing ride) and Electro-Spin (a whirling gondola), are paired with retro-themed music
and traditional fair fare, making this new addition family-friendly and refreshingly nostalgic.
