Take a walk on the wild side
at Charlotte's 57-acre raptor
sanctuary, which houses
more than 25 species you
can see up close. Along the
Raptor Trail, you'll come face
to face with falcons, eagles,
hawks, vultures and more.
The Carolina Raptor Center is
also home to a state-of-the
art avian medical facility,
where more than 1,000
injured or orphaned raptors
are rehabilitated each year.
For aspiring raptor keepers
ages 12 and up, the Keeper
for a Day program offers
a hands-on look at what it
takes to train and care for
birds of prey.
