Brews & 'Cues Charlotte is synonymous with both barbeque and beer, so get your out-of-town visitors the best of both. Head to the LoSo (Lower South End) neighborhood, where it's easy to visit multiple spots on foot or via a quick Lyft ride. For barbeque, a stop at tried and true Charlotte staple Mac's Speed Shop is a must. When you're in the mood for libations, head over to The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, a Queen City landmark. From there, it's an easy walk to Sugar Creek Brewing, Good Road CiderWorks and Brewers at 4001 Yancey. You can even stop at Queen Park Social to bowl and play arcade games. For those interested in checking out newer additions to Charlotte's food and beverage scene, swing by Seoul Food Meat Co. The restaurant blends Southern barbeque with the best of Korean fare. Next door is Let's Meat, with tabletop stoves so you can cook your meat to your liking and choose from a plethora of sauces and marinades. When you're finished, stick with the DIY theme and head to Hoppin' to sample 50 beer and 12 wine taps. Pour as little or as much as you'd like. Your wristband is linked to your credit card! Afterward, venture to Wooden Robot for other tasty brews. Try the Good Morning Vietnam; with its blend of vanilla and coffee, it's unique and delicious. Play Host for the Holidays If you like this… Order your Thanksgiving bird from Midwood Smokehouse, which will also dish up smoked meats, sides, appetizers and desserts for your groaning table.
