royal treatment.
If braving the cold winter weather doesn't strike your
fancy, an indoor retreat to a home-cooked meal may be
just what the doctor ordered. Not yet a chef de cuisine?
Novice bakers and skilled cooks alike are welcome to
attend the Chef's Choice® cooking classes at Johnson &
Wales University. Since its inception in 2004, the program
has offered authentic cooking experiences taught by
certified instructors at the university's state-of-the-art
kitchens.
Charlotteans can choose from classes inspired by global
dishes to sweeter sessions focusing on desserts or
artisan breads. For those interested in perfect pairings, a
wine and spirit education course may be more your forte.
Classes are offered weekly in four-hour sessions and
start at $150 per person. Those in need of a little more
instruction can opt for baking or culinary boot camps at
$650 per person. These intensive five-week classes will
teach you to be proficient in puff pastry creation
or an expert in making a raving ratatouille that
would rival Grandma's.
Whether you're looking to sharpen your knife skills or
learn basic cooking techniques, a Chef's Choice cooking
class at Johnson & Wales University is the perfect way to
treat yourself this season. And we think you future dinner
guests will agree!
